About me

Sharing experience.
Supporting growth.

26years in banking
18years in branch management

I turn my experience in banking and branch management into training that participants can use in their daily work. I explore commercial banking, client relationships and leadership through case studies and practical activities.

My master's studies in Sufi Culture and Literature are an important part of my journey towards understanding people and myself. They help me look more closely at the search for meaning, personal values and the relationship we have with ourselves.

My adult drama training at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Centre also helps me make room for different roles and perspectives.

As a Co-Active coach, I support people in discovering their own resources and options. My coaching and drama background also brings different perspectives into my training. In motorcycle instruction, I value the connection between observation, decision-making and practice.

My aim is for participants to gain knowledge, recognise their own approach and consciously choose their next step.

Co-Active coaching & mentoring

Discover
your own path.

Let's talk about coaching ↗

One-to-one coaching for work and life.

I offer one-to-one Co-Active coaching sessions to support you in working towards your goals in your professional and personal life.

Together, we create space to reflect on your values and priorities, clarify your goals and discover your own possibilities.

What can we explore in coaching?

You can work on clarifying goals and priorities, exploring options during a period of change or decision-making, and reflecting on the balance between work and personal life.

We begin by discussing your topic and expectations. Through questions and reflective exercises, you explore your own options and choose the steps you want to take. We agree the frequency and length of sessions together, based on your needs.

Shared experience through mentoring.

We explore the real challenges branch managers face, drawing on my experience in banking and leadership.

How do mentoring sessions work?

We can work on preparing for branch management, adapting to a new role, setting management priorities and reviewing team and client situations.

You bring your own work situation to the session. We explore it together, discussing relevant experience and possible approaches. At the next meeting, we review the agreed steps and what you have learned.

Let's reflect together

One question.
A fresh perspective.

Get a feel for my training approach with a short read and a sample case.

A short read · The consultative approach

Before offering a solution,
make room for the right question.

When a client says, “I need a loan,” the conversation can quickly turn to amounts and terms. Understanding the business need behind that request can give the discussion greater depth.

Asking “Which part of your business's cash flow would this funding support?” opens up a conversation about collections, stock, payments and growth plans.

A consultative approach gives thoughtful questions as much attention as prompt answers.

Sample case · Fictional training scenario

Sales are growing.
Why is cash still tight?

The owner of a packaging company says, “Our sales have grown, and we would like to increase our credit limit.”

Three points emerge in the latest meeting: clients are being given longer payment terms, stock levels have risen and suppliers are being paid earlier.

Which question would deepen the conversation?

This short example is a training exercise in understanding client needs.

Sector-specific insights: three short reads
01 / Construction & contracting

Where will the funding to finish the work come from?

The remaining contract value, cost to complete and timing of progress payments need to be considered together when assessing credit needs. The project financed by existing debt is also part of the picture.

A question for the proposal: Are the resources needed to complete the work and the collection schedule clear?

02 / Logistics

Turnover is growing. Is cash growing too?

Fleet structure, contract terms and the ability to pass rising costs on to clients help explain how growth translates into financing needs.

A question for the proposal: Is growth generating cash or consuming more funding?

03 / Property development

Who will fund the cash shortfall until completion?

Alongside a project's profitability, assess when funding gaps will arise before completion and how they will be covered.

A question for the proposal: Is it clear who will cover the cash shortfall, and when?
